SPC Marketing (UK Outdoor Store) is an outdoor pursuit and sports equipment company selling a range of products and accessories, from Swiss Army knives to torches. Established in 2000, SPC Marketing is a family-owned business.
SPC Marketing began online in 2000. Soon after, online marketplaces became increasingly popular, and SPC Marketing made the business decision to expand into the marketplace landscape. The company chose to start listing on eBay and used eBay’s own ‘off the shelf’ solution to begin uploading and managing its inventory. However, SPC Marketing found the functionality limited and began looking for a solution that would be able to help the company expand into additional marketplaces across multiple regions.
Originally selling on Amazon and eBay, SPC Marketing first considered partnering with a solution provider after attending an eBay University event where ChannelAdvisor was exhibiting. Through the introduction of ChannelAdvisor Marketplaces, SPC Marketing has has syndicated its product listings across both eBay and Amazon, in addition to selling internationally.
